The fundamental purpose of the club is to bring films to Andover that would not normally be seen here on the big screen. Such films include:
- British Independent films
- Art-House films
- World Cinema
- Classics that deserve to be seen on the big screen
In delivering this the club has three objectives:
- Cultural - bringing interesting & unique films to the town
- Educational - each club presentation begins with a brief presentation of what is notable about the film. In future, we also intend to hold Discussion Groups to explore challenging aspects of films presented
- Social - bringing people together to share experiences. As well as film presentations and the possible future addition of Discussion Groups, we are also looking at future club events, such as studio tours, film locations and festivals.
